hey guys i got myself a used exedy HD twin disc but it is need a complete rebuild . So if anyone knows a good place to get these parts from for a good price lmk. or if anyone is looking to do the same thing maybe we can get a price cut for buying at the same time. Ive never had a twin disc so im not sure if rebuilding this one is worth it or if there is an upgrade. I drive my car all the time so i dont want anything crazy like a tripple carbon, or one that will grip like all hell then were out after 5k, . Some imput would be appreciated. I dont have a whole lot money but ill see what i can do .

yeah basically the only parts i feel comfortable reusing are the pressure plate and the flywheel. Are you running the tripple? Maybe i should have someone that has has experience with the exedy clutches to take a look at what i have to make sure everything looks good.If anyone can take a look at it ill bring it to the meet on thursday. Also as i said before i dont want the drivability to suck.

ive heard of more wave springs to make it easier when pulling the trans off. Id like to hear about these clutches from people that actually drive their cars more than twice a month. lots of guys on here own garage queens. FTL. Ive heard of low life spans out of those quartermasters, and havent looked into the exedy life spans

There are people that get 40k out of their Exedy twin and triple clutches. They last a pretty long time. The QM version 1 can get good mileage out of the discs if you modify the back side of the outer disc's hub so that the hubs don't come into contact with each other. Thomas did that with his I believe. The version 2 clutch uses a single splined hub that both discs ride on, so it should last considerably longer than the old version. The Exedy triple is set up the same way. Single hub, with the discs sliding over it.
Also, I am pretty sure I have driven my car more than twice this month.
