so my brother is a proud owner of an 2007 sti and i noticed today hes headlights get very foggy, they never been modified or anything. Hes friend used to own a 2005 sti and reported the same thing to his headlight. i know some of yous guys used to own subarus any thoughts on this.

this happens to all cars. not just subarus. you can polish it out. wet sand em then just take some polishing wax and buff it out. its pretty easy.

if not my buddy's shop will do it for ya but i think its like $20-$30

hahahah I just let them get sandblasted at the track! Takes the fog right off!
And unfortunately yes Chris I work at night still, however you should extend your stay through the weekend for shenanigans and the first autocross at silverton!

It does happen in most cars, and yes even the Evos. It happened to my old '03 VIII and my folks' Camry. What michele said is right and pretty easy to do, just wet sand it and polish it out.

Is there actually water inside? Because I think we're talking about 2 different things. 1. Yes, all car headlights will fade and appear foggy from sun damage etc. This is all exterior. 2. If there is actually moisture inside (maybe you can see a few water droplets), then you need a new headlight, unless you want to take them all apart and reseal them. The same thing might happen tho. The moisture gets in because the seal around the headlight broke a little bit and when the headlight heats up, you get condensation.
