stroker 2.3 and green is fantastic down low, but lacking up high. Torque curve spikes early at 3300ish, hp peaks at around 6200ish and falls off rapidly...not just a typical taper.
I think I can deal with the added lag of the black to get power back up high. Road race / time attack / and even autocross . . . as soon as you're up high in rpm, you pretty much stay there, gear to gear. Transient response on lift-throttle shifts would most likely be the biggest annoyance.

Has anybody here ported/polished their head before? I was thinking about taking mine off and gasket matching the intake/exhaust and cleaning up all the carbon and casting from the insides. (after 83,000 miles I'd imagine there is a lot of carbon). Any thoughts or input appreciated.

They asked who baker was and I provided a link. As far as performance from them in the evo market I know of a few cars in town with their work and they all perform without a hicup. Actually the fastest evo in town has their headwork... By fastest I mean at the track no street racing, no dyno numbers actual track numbers.
