Any Ideas? I don't have a CEL. The only major work that was done recently (about 5 months ago) was my clutch replacement.

The car passed smog fine last year. The only difference this year would be my Hallman manual boost controller, a new radiator, and a turbo timer.

A few months back my EGR line kept popping off causing a CEL but that was resolved by zip tying the line onto the nipple.

I did however gut my cat a few months back because it was clogged.

I can't think of anything else that has change since last year..
I had this same problem but it was due to a vacuum line under the intake that popped off.... just a thought.

I was going to have mine coated but after reading around I found some info about the wheel becoming brittle and possibly cracking...

And who did I see in front of the Valley Auto Mall yesterday afternoon?

Yes. Powder coating wheels is not the smartest thing to do. Do a little research about the heat levels

They quoted me 85. Smaller size than you though. He said a valve cover would be 80-90 and he wanted to sand blast it too...

So just wheel spray paint is what you suggest?

Heat changes the structure of metals, that is fact. BBS wheels are known to crack if the curing temperature is too high. He has powdercoated Rota, Volk(rays), BBS, Enkei, and tons of others and has yet to have a wheel break after coating, though....so you shouldn't be too worried.

If you need a tune let us know. If you just want a little touch up reflash on the street, it won't be too much.
