Ok, thanks for the input. But I really don't want it to pit back to stock so......I just had my friend at a lube place check it for me. The t-case isn't overfilled. :-)

The whine is from the turbo spooling up.

Ok, who wants to go on a test ride? I'm free right now.

As for the whine sounds....only on acceleration, none on deceleration. but I could be wrong, so does anyone wants to do a test ride?

One more thing. Is the evo really running that rich?? I can smell gas sometimes when I'm running it hard.

LOL for anyone who thinks Courtesy Imports is mod friendly. They were not even "stock" friendly to me. This was just my experience, maybe others have had better luck than me?

They denied me for any reason they could think of (including mods that were never on my car). Also were quite rude, treated me like **** Maybe I'm still a little bitter

But good luck if you go

sup panda...
a few of the x's here experienced that raw fuel smell.
good to see you subscribed to that thread too.

it seems like a factory issue esp. combined w/ extreme heat climates. it comes and goes.

i experienced it a few times when i was on stock...but after some mods to the exhaust/intake/dp...no more smell.

i know it's tough to resist, but try not to push the car too hard when outside temps are +100 F; you'll avoid that smell.

So I guess the only way to get rid of the problem is to mod the car!! I'm cool with that!
