great shots Chris!!
civicej8 - I had also thought that and while out at pahrump, between session, we disconnected the line that now goes back to the suction pipe and it was bone dry (threaded my pinky finger into it as well lol). Ran a session with it not hooked up and there was no difference.

Anyone have a suggestion on a good throttle cleaner? My throttle body been sticking when I first start it up. Figure it's just gunk in there. Or should I just clean it the ol fashion way haha

Well, about the smoky evo, what color is the smoke? That can tell a lot about what's wrong.
Black smoke...rich afr
Blue smoke...blown head gasket - coolant seeping into the chambers
White smoke...if the engine is cold, just condensation in the engine, if the engine is warmed up then ur turbo is going out. There's more that white smoke says, it can also mean faulty rings (could be piston, or valve seals)
White smoke is the smoke that u don't want to see coz it means something is going out.

Rogue, good old cleaning manually will make it better and stay that way for longer. But then again, that's just my opinion and I'm biased to doing things the old fashion way.

With the vent system I've described, is it worth looking into a pcv issue? I'll go take pictures of my setup and post them soon.

Crank pressure leaves the valve cover through this:
and goes down to the "low" catch can here:
Then leaves the "low" catch can and moves up towards the firewall where it enters the bottom of the "high" catch can:
It then leaves the top of the "high" catch can and makes it's way to the suction pipe:
It also has what appears to be a factory pcv valve:
And here's a picture of today's travels to the Grand Canyon....damn snow!!!!

Aaron, PCV valve has a check valve in it that always gets gunked up. Replace it first. It isn't your headgasket, as you would've been pushing coolant under boost, not when you lift. Always eliminate the small potential problems first, before diving into more complex stuff. Intake snorkel was a perfect example.
