WOW glad I drilled mine out. I wonder if that would of been the cause of my first motor to spin a bearing.

8PM - 10PM!!

This upcoming thursday! Make it out! We're doing it big as usual. I'm trying to get a food truck out there around 9PM this time, to hopefully not have them leave due to folks showing up later than 8.

ALSO, I want to try something new.. Tell your friends, blast facebook, do whatever you want. I want to see just how many people we can get out there. I figure they want to see results before they give me a bigger spot. So, we're going to slam it hopefully!

That valvecover was done at snail motorsports. If your going to powdercoat a valvecover cover i would recommend drilling the baffles out first.

One more benefit of the 08 Evo X...... Aluminum Valve Cover and none of that **** on the inside. Besides why do they even powdercoat the inside? Is it red in there too?

It's really not fair to single out snail motorsports. I've never dealt with them, so I don't have a bias, but we really need to take these incidents and say that media blasting a valve cover probably isn't the smartest thing you could do without proper prep.

It's not Snails fault at all, Juan does great work and might not be aware for the media getting stuck under the baffles. They don't powder coat the inside but when it's getting media blasted is the problem. They might be able to tape off the valve cover before blasting it.

I agree , it is not the powder Coaters fault. Just like you can't expect the guys at McDonald's to know you're allergic to onions.

Do a quick search on powder coated Evo 8/9 valve covers and you'll see this has been an issue all across the nation, not just one particular company. I'd take any other parts I need coated to Snail.

But anyways how was MOD, I noticed no one posted pictures like last year ( I'm waiting for Twab to post some creeper beach pictures again )
