dont let it dry, put some oil on the cylinder. and dry start it.
did u disconnect the fuse plug for the fuel injection system when you dry start it?

oil on the cylinder? where? down the hole of the spark plug hole? no i didnt.... no wonder i was smelling gas. what fuse plug number is that? water is coming out of the hole, but my battery is dead according to autozone. the longer the car is connected to the car the engine turns better, hence the baby being "dead"

and yes, put a little bit, like a cap of the oil container, (half a tsp?) into the cylinder through the sparkplug hole. this is to just coat the walls so it wouldnt be entirely metal to metal contact.
the car should be ok. my friend's car got waterlogged the last time it rained hard and it s working like normal again.
where do u live? pm me and if im not busy, i might go and help you out.

make sure you take out the fuse. since i dont have a RA, im not entirely sure which one is the fuel injection fuse. just go into the fuse box and the diagram should be on the cover. look for FI on the diagram and pull the corresponding fuse.
