It was a lot of fun, glad you survived. I didn't catch your name though haha. I'm Jake.
I think that will be my last car on the track WOW, I'm sure I'll go to more and do the karting but no more of the track, the cones being off line bother me way too much. Time for some LapBattle.

I honestly haven't been controlled sideways in a long long time. The Evo would always just snap and spin out on me (I blame the suspension set up) and the STi always under-steered, always. And the Porsche was terrifying when it would start to oversteer, so I wouldn't call it controlled. The last session out there I actually had some pretty cool "drifting" moments in the MINI.

My name is Derrick . I need to save up for a lap battle too. I used to love the wows but the Lines are getting ridiculous! I want the full track experience as well ( if they do that with lap battles).

Hahahahahah. This was a comment written from a guests recent stay at the hotel I work at. Great read!
So I am up here at this lodge between Heber and Park City. And I'm reading my American Creation history book by Joseph Ellis (good book) and I have the door cracked open that leads out to the deck. The view is great, if not misty cold. It's getting late, but the fire is crackling rose and while there are some people making some noise down below near the outdoor pool, I think nothing of it. A little while later I try to go to bed but didn't feel comfortable so I went back to the coach near the little fireplace and I heard more noise coming from down below (I'm on the third floor). This time I notice two young men and two girls in the second of three jacuzzis, and there is some hanky panky going on. One of the couples were making out and the other kinda talking to each other nervously. So the first couple decides to take it a little further and the blonde starts doing some unmentionables on the first guy (I'll spare you the details but it rhymes with flow bob). I cant see all the dirty parts for the shadows and steam, which Im fine with a thank you very much. This goes on for a while wence the second couple starts doing their own dirty nasty thang. The second guy basically had his trunks a lowered down and bouncing around in the water back and forth in front of a dark brunette that has a devilish laugh and equally devilish swimsuit slash body. So at this point I'm wondering if anybody here at this fine establishment cares about such things going on under the night lights and cool air swirling near the outdoor pool. Part of me can't believe I'm witnessing a public sex act, but hey it is twenty-eleven and the world is a wicked place now. So I call the front desk, which is actually some foreign sounding gal that isn't actually AT the front desk. In fact, she isn't even onsite but is somewhere in Park City. I tell her that there is a live porno going on in the jacuzzi downstairs and somebody probably ought to do something about it. She utters something indistinguishable but I do catch an "oh no" in her voice and informs me she will call the M.O.D. What is that I wonder? The Memorial Day Officer of the Day? Wait, that spells M.D.O.D. No, that's stupid I argue with myself. So I go back to the deck to see if the frisky So-Cal kids are still at it. Boy are they! The goings on have at this point have escalated to near total public nudity for the second couple, while the first couple seem to be competing in the Olympic bobsledding event circa two thousand and two. At this point I'm a little ill. This really shouldn't be going on... There is more, but your form isn't letting me finish the story. I think you get the general idea. My stay was a friggin' living nightmare. Where the hell is your staff? Do you not care that lude sex acts are occuring on your property?! I called the cops. I have posted these comments on tripadviser.com and to your management.

The Evo can snap oversteer with the following general setups:
1.) Stock Suspension and Stock Ride Height - Due to lots of body roll and bad roll centers at the stock ride height.
2.) Too much Rear Sway Bar - Yes RobiSpec you too had to learn to control without so much rear sway.
3.) Bad Spring and Damping Rates in the Rear.
Once the Rear is sorted out, its like a brand new car. Very slow, catchable rear movement, but under power and off of power. Probably the rear is most scary under heavy braking ... but some good aero helps a lot.

Yeah I knew it was going to lock me out just not this bad. Lucky my motor is still fine after missing 4th.
Did I mention I hit oil!!!! when I was in third It went from 6 to 7k real fast then back to 6.3k I was like wtf there is no way my clutch is slipping. There was a dude in a white mustang that went right after me, he almost hit the wall because of it.
Oh an my brother ran a 48 second 1/4 because his throttle cable popped off lololol. He idled in second the whole damn track hahahah. When he finally made it the crowed went wild
Good job to everyone who went and did work !!!

I am a firm believer that A) Kids shouldn't drive massive POS Jeeps as their first car (assuming the Jeep was the kid's car... If not, then whatever they were in was too big too to hit the Jeep in that way). B) Kids should be go karting well before they have their driver's license C) Kids should be required to do at least 3 autocross events before being trusted.
Or AT LEAST: Parent's should do a much better job teaching their kids. All too often the parents just don't give a ****. Or the parents are terrible drivers themselves.
I was driving from the age of 14 whenever I could, so by the time I was 16 all I had to do was learn a few extra things and I was... decent. A few autocrosses later and I've only ever been in 1 accident that was "my" fault, and considering I was 17 in the S2000 in a snow storm with summer tires on it, not really "my" fault that I hit a patch of ice.

I figured a youngn' would take that stance Besides, do you actually think I would buy the kid a 35k+ jeep? She has been carting several times & honestly the last thing I would ever do is let her take the evo to an autox, I can just imagine the damage to the drivetrain.
There's only so much a parent can do as far as teaching someone to drive, eventually you have to turn them loose on their own...I guess you'll understand that later on & If you're implying that I don't give a **** you are sorely mistaken.
You took a rwd car out in a snow storm with summer tires & got into an accident?...that's just plain stupid & definately you're fault, I don't care if that patch of ice just jumped in front of you out of nowhere
Haha, POS..really? What was it you drive again

She was driving my wifes jeep.
She was backing out on a rural road, she saw the truck coming but didn't see the horse trailer it was towing. She hit the trailer while it was going about 40 mph...just not paying close enough attention.
Luckly she did not damage the other persons trailor too bad, Unfortunately the jeep was brand new & the damage is much more significant than a fender & tail light
The most important is nobody was hurt including the horses.. everything else is repairable.
You're right though, they have to learn for themselves.

At any rate, being 21 years old would not have helped avoid this. A 21 year-old would not be any more cautious backing up than a 16 year-old if they had both just freshly gotten their driver's licenses. I'm not going to get in to the rest with you Josh.
The only thing I will stick by firmly is that no child should ever be driving a Jeep Wrangler. Especially not a Rubicon. Ever.
And I'm sorry I offended your selection of vehicles.
I was not implying you don't give a ****, I didn't know it was your child or even your vehicle and my statements were all just a generalization.

It's all good Jake, I didn't intend to come off hostile or take shots at you
There's alot more to her one year of driving history that I don't care to go into & this is just the latest escapade.
