*sigh* ... I'm jealous already ...

Its my understanding that autos hold a lot more power easier. At least the ring, planet, and sun gear assemblies. Do folks have reports on upgrading / tuning that specific e-shift transmission?

Otherwise ... start saving for a carbon clutch. =D

I also hear that an exhaust, cam, and tune really wake up that NA motor to start with.

I don't see anything immediately on my bad juujuu meter. It'll be an adventure, but it sounds like a good one.

P.S. An alternative platform is you could always pick up a Pontiac G8 GT and toss 5k into a suspension, exhaust, cam combo. I'm not sure on brakes, I'm trying to research that myself.

yes looks like the auto(e-shift) handle power much much better then the 5spd manual. There's lots of small upgrades etc. I thought about a G8 GT before, I like those cars, you should get one for the time being I'm going to stay under 10k and for the is300 I'm looking at I won't feel guilty buying it, beating it up or throwing some $ at

FTL! looks like tons of is300's with rebuilt/salvaged etc titles

Hmmm maybe I'll snag this up instead?

It never hurts to upgrade the bushings right out of the box.

So I checked the tire pressure(So easy I over looked it) all but the passenger front were at 34psi. I checked the passenger front and it wrapped my needle on my gauge. Over 60psi. After a OMFG!! I lowered it to 34psi and went for a drive. Call me stupid but now it pulls to the right all the time, and slightly pulls left under acceleration.. The dealer gave me a 30 day warranty, Im going to take it in for an alignment. Hopefully the guy who aired up the tires isnt the alignment guy.. god only knows what could happen there.

I just hope it wasnt intentional and they were trying to hide something... I guess its a pretty easy mistake.. But 70ish PSI... WTF

An Evo IX with torque steer, that's the funniest **** I've read in a long time about dealer's lame weird comments.

Duh. However, it is about 3.8x easier to find a cheaper/better condition Miata than an S2000. People who own S2000s drive them and/or want to keep them. So finding a used one with a low amount of miles would be harder than finding a truly (always been) stock Evo VIII or IX.

Miata would still have all the qualities (except the digital speedo) that I would want in the S2000. Lightweight, fun to drive, drop top. If I cared about more than just that I'd be buying it as my main car not my secondary fun in the sun car.

At least it was an easy fix. Hopefully now the shop can fix it with an alignment and nothing serious is going on. Does it pull as badly in the other direction now or what?

Also, what tires do you have? Dealers sometimes will replace the tires on the car with brand new ultra cheap tires and they'll have weird issues. Typically not issues with pulling and usually more with road noise, but still. My gf's Mini howls on the freeway because of the ****ty tires the dealer put on it.

lol Jake it's Lynn from unisys. remember the old wrx? Got rid of that for an XB(money was tight) then got rid of that for an Evo. You would have liked it when they tried to convince me it was an MR with a 5 speed and halogen head lights..

Yeah they are some noname tire I've never heard of. It seems to pull gradual right at all times now. I'm going to go rotate the tires and see if it changes. Then try an alignment. Still under acceleration it pulls left. But mild compared to what it did before. It used to change lanes for me, now it just gradually pulls towards the lines.

It's a 97 w/117k miles I wish the rear rims were 9.5" wide but it does look pretty good the way it is, gonna order some h&r race springs to start with because it is stock suspension right now. Motor is stock with intake and the 3.5 maf. Think it's got a short throw the shift knob sits low and throws don't seem as long. I'll snap some more pictures it's got Modena interior which I know is a crazy rare combo but wish it was dove. Only problem with car is dr side seat is a little faded other then that it's in awesome shape might have to throw on some front rotors n pads sometime soon but mechanically etc car is awesome I'm excited.

I found a blue 4 door 335i 07 with 42k miles on it for $21k I wish I was ready to buy. I would have looked at picking it up for that price.

I tuned one last year, not my cup of tea, but It's a decent turbo with good response. I would say 450whp wouldn't be too big of a chore at our altitude. I also tuned a BBK-Full which I liked a bit better.

Well I ran a 11.7 with 460whp so if I can make that much on that turbo I will be happy. Was the green ported ? FP actuator ? Did it seem like it would hold 25psi until redline ?
Thanks gearhead

I like it a lot. Looks perfect (in the photos). Nice find. I added you on G+

My girlfriend just got a triple white '93 Cabrio classic (white ext, white top, white interior). It's actually a really fun car and looks like an MKI golf even though it's a 93. Oh yeah, has 70k miles I'll post pics once we're done cleaning/restoring it. Was a garage find that some old lady drove before she passed away and her daughter finally got around to selling it. Been sitting in the garage.

Speaking of her, she just got me an evo8 model car, she looked forever to get one in black to match my car...

You can't tell from the photos but it's even got brembo written on the calipers

I have more pics here if anyone cares (and other car stuff):
