Soon to be Las Vegas Evo member

Hi, my name is Rich and I am moving from Silver Spring, MD to Vegas. Just wanted to talk to some Vegas owners and see how things are over there, emissions,inspection...etc. To make things better on my questions my mods are a 2.4 w/ FP black(actually it is still being built as we speak). So any answers and intros would be great. Hope to see you guys in Vegas soon.

Rich

if youre wondering about how well the track its preped its shoot and miss , not too stricked unless youre hitting some real fast times then of course the usual helmet and other safety equipment. friday was actually opened . if i remember they closed sometime in december and not opened till february

the track schedule is dependant on the pro events they run at the track. If you are looking for a prepped track, you have to goto the test n tunes. They are more money, but the track is prepped and you will get more runs... generally.

as for smog, its basically no codes and you pass. I havent seen anyone do a visual inspection since i moved here and that was 7 years ago.

thursday nights are normal meet nights where you will meet more people. when are you moving out here?

I should be moving after my wedding at the end of winter, and my soon to be will be moving out around spring/summerish. Do you guys have a inspection you have to get done. Like if you move here you have to get MD inspected and if you have mods you will fail (unless you can buy your way out) and than you can't register your car. Now you only have to do it once in the life of the car, or until you sell it than the new owner has to do it. I just have tons of mods and i don't have any stock pieces left except for the basics. So if I have to get an inspection than I am F...ed. Also are there any good aftermarket shops around? now that i am done with the Evo we are moving on to do the old ladys z.

There isn't an actual evo shop in town but there are a few that work on evos and they do good work. No real tuning options here either aside from dougs dyno. I've never used him and on this site you will find mixed reviews.

Motor just came in today. So I'm dropping it off at the shop tomorrow. I have to admit if I don't run mid 10's I'm might be a little mad.
