so cal 100 octane prices?
I finally found one near my house "corona" but it cost 4.99 for a gallon. Anyone know a cheaper spot to get 100 octane in the socal.

How common are the stations with higher octane gases in California? if I lived there, i'd put 3 or 4 gallons of 100 and 9 or 8 gallons of the 91 **** and get a 93.25 or a 94 average in my tank. The cost is a bit higher than for us here in Jersey, but IMHO its definitely worth it for the 15-20 extra WHP difference I hear about, especially if its not a daily driver.
The cost of 91 is probobly around $1.55/gallon here while 93 and 94 are about $1.65 or $1.75 at Sunoco around here.
Using the mix in California for 93.25 and 94 Octane gives you a price of about $2.41/gallon and about $2.70/gallon, respectively.

$1.55 for 91 in Jersey??? I don't remember it being that low... At least not in PA, MD, or DC. Here in LA, it's $1.87. I don't know why we don't have 93 or 94's. Anybody know?

4.99 for 100 is hella cheap. if i could get it i would. considering that gas prices were so crazy here in sf, 4.99 for 15-20 hp is well worth it for me. sigh i payed like nearly 3 bucks for 91 at one point

Add 1 gallon of tolulene $5 to $7 (home depot/Lowes.. paint hardware stores) 118 octane and VERY (AKA more resistant than gas at the same octane ratings) to detonation (F-1 torbo cars ran like 80% tolulene at 40+pounds of boost can you spell 1200 HP out of 1.5 liters!!!) to 12 gallons of 91 calif. **** fuel and you get 93.1 Octane... Cheap and your EVO will like it.

Mixing fuel companies??
Up here in NorCal I found a few Union76s that have 100 octane. I have used Chevron for so long I don't really want to change, but what would happen if I put in 8-9 gal of Chevron 91 and mix in 3-4 gal of 76 100, would anything happen? DOes anyone know if this could be bad in any way?

5 gallons 100 = 500 octane points
8 gallons 91 = 728 octane points
add points and divide by 13 (total gallons) you get 94+ octane
but a lot of $'s! do ti wilt 2 gallons of toulene for $12-14 bucks instead of the $25+ you would put out for the 100 gas (PS the oil Co's get their octane ratings by adding toulene too)
Oil companies can't use something which won't "play nice" with the others (No microsoft monopoly here) otherwise the word would get around fast and people would quit using the offending product.
