That is what I did. However, the hot 25 year old part has not happened and with my face that I use as a contraceptive not likely anytime soon. Oh well don't have to worry about being put on Evo lockdown if I am chickless.

Those lifts are not correct.

The reason we have not posted specs is because there is no standard in the industry.
Most companies quote lift at the valve but use different rocker arm ratios. It looks like even HKS is using different rocker are ratios between the intake and exhaust cams. We may publish our lift at the cams but even that would appear funny as it would not be an apples to apples comparison.

Even with published duration there is no standard. Remember those high lift Piper Rally cams that are supposed to be "265s"? Well they actually have more duration than the HKS "272s". Unfortunately this is frustrating for everyone.

can you guys atleast approximate the lift based on HKS cams, considering everyone is using them for comparison. I am sure you guys have examined HKS cams in details. Giving end users no info doesnt inspire confidence.

Using HKS based numbers, our 269 Power Cams are:

10.8mm Intake/10.1mm Exhaust

Here's a solution. Spec both the stock cams and the 269 the exact same way. It's kind of like getting a dyno without a baseline otherwise.

So,
10.8mm Intake/10.1mm Exhaust (Works)
vs
10.8mm Intake/10.2mm Exhaust (HKS)

And I assume the duration is somewhere in between the 264's and 272's. This cam seems targeted at producing a bit more power than the 264's while maintaining better idle quality than the 272's. Too bad I'm fresh out of cam install money or I would pick up a set.

Aint that the truth. Why are we buying a fancy dining room set? She doesn't even cook.

I understand where you are coming from EM, but I honestly would not feel right going to a tuning shop and saying "hey install these cams for me", "ok what are the specs?"..."well the company that sold them to me wont tell me."

That just doesn't sit right at all. Since your cams are made expressly for the Evo, maybe you should "baseline" the specs of the Mitsubishi cams compared to the Works 269s. I could almost promise you that Works will sell more cams if they put out that sort of information.

Just trying to be helpful, and yes I am shopping for cams...just havent decided what I am going with yet.

I don't know about you, but as a consumer, I'd care more about results. With the information WORKS has already provided about their product, you have an idea of how it compares to the competition. That should be enough.

Can you give comparable intake/exhaust duration numbers as well? Just trying to figure out whether these are more like 264s, 272s, in between, etc...

The fact that a car with your cams passed CA emissions is a huge plus for your set-up. I'd like to know more about it.

And I'm hoping that you reply in the "damage to stock valvetrain" thread. I posted some follow up questions to your last post and you haven't been back. OGVW was a little obnoxious to you in that thread, but most of us are just trying to understand what you are saying and gather as much info. as possible to make our decisions.

Thanks.

Not everyone wants to run their flash with cams...but use a stand alone with their cams. I think its a totally different scenario when considering that.
