Works aperture or lower IC pipe?

I have some more mod money and am stuck between getting a AMS lower IC pipe or a Works trottle body. The throttle body will complete my TR-340 kit but it's twice as much at the IC pipe and i will have a couple days down time with the trottle body. Both I hear help with spool up and give a little extra HP. Anyone with the P2 have experience with these two mods? Does Works offer a flash for IC piping?

Thanks

They are both good upgrades...

If you can pay the refundable $700 core charge you won't have to deal with any down time for the Throttle Body.

Some of the IC piping (like the complete kits) require a reflash to correct the boost levels and spike.

Doesn't the trottle body require a reflash for increased performance?

Does the reflash for the I/C pipes help out performace or just for compatability/drivability with the P2?

Also, do you guys have any T-bodys in stock?

Yes they are instock, in most cases the TB doesn't require a reflash. Many I/C pipe kits require a reflash to correct boost levels.

Sorry to go OT, but does the throttle body require any modification to the stock manifold in order for it to fit? Also, what is the size of the new TB? Thanks!

I'd also like to know how much performance difference there is between the standard upgraded throttle body and the max-bore throttle body. I don't mind taking my intake manifold off to port-match the inlet. I just want to know if it's worth the trouble.

You will see even better throttle response and slightly more gains up top with port-matching. How much of course depends on the rest of your setup.

Works Aperature II

Is the Works Aperature II in stock for shipping? It shows on the website that they are out of stock for 03/04 models. I was considering getting one if they are in stock. Somebody from Works please PM me the details so I can order.

Thanks
Brian

Thanks.

hey jamie is the lower intercooler pipe honestly worth it in your opinion, do you think there are big performance gains on it or not?

I got one for my old Evo and did not notice a difference in power or spool characteristics.
