WORKS trunk cage?

I called WORKS maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago, ready to drop an order for a bunch of stuff and someone mentioned to me that they were working on a "trunk cage" with removable fore and aft braces. It also is suppoosed to be a match to their front brace which looks muthaphuckin tizzite!

How is this coming along? When can we expect to see this?

So I held off on the order, because I mainly wanted the rear brace to start figuring out a small custom sub box to fit under it. The other stuff can wait a little bit. Plus, I'm probably going to shoot up there to get the MR short shift kit. So I want to go up there and do it all in one shot. You know save on shipping and stuff. Although I do wonder if I have to pay the local tax though if I'm physically going to get it vs through the mail...

So yeah, gimme gimme, I want!

I believe the WORKS Rear Strut Tower Brace is all but done. We've had a prototype on display here at the shop for a couple of months now. It's design is very similar to the front. The "cage" aspect will incorporate the strut brace and the OEM trunk bar for the RS with additional bars connecting the two components on either side. I know there was a design done for it the same time as the brace, but don't have an ETA for it at the moment. I'll try to get some more info to share soon.

Only the front one is on the site: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=266 I haven't received pricing info for the rear, but would expect it to be less than the front.

Is this like the GTSpec trunk cage previously carried on your site? If so then I can vouch for this being quite a nice mod for improving the rigidity of the tail end of the car.

Now that looks to be one heck of a rigid design! Good stuff
