The Official WORKS Brain Flash Dyno Plots!!!
The moment we have all been waiting for...
SHIPPING NOW: WORKS ECU Remapping for the U.S. '03+ Lancer EVO.
The WORKS Brain flash reprograms the factory ECU to give your EVO:
- More Power Throughout the Entire Rev Range
- Improved Overall Drivability
- Won't Sacrifice Emissions
- Improved Gas Mileage (Depending On Driving Style)
- Increased Rev Limit with Higher Top Speed
... all while maintaining factory reliability, adaptive learning, and engine diagnostic codes.
This is accomplished through WORKS extensive remapping of the factory ECU.
No add-on boxes. No boost controllers. No splicing and hacking into factory wiring harnesses.
The WORKS ECU is a plug & play upgrade. It doesn't get any simpler, safer, or cleaner.
Dealer service centers cannot detect the upgraded ECU by visually looking at the case, nor through the use of factory diagnostic tools. In addition, all factory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) continue to operate normally.

How does it handle upgrades, like exhaust, cams etc? Is it just for otherwise stock cars?

What are the AF ratios and what octane were you running to achieve those numbers? Also, how close are you to the "knock threshold"?
Mods are inherently going to lean you out even more. I would be careful when you are wanting to add mods.
Just my $.02

Other notes of interest. The Dyno was an AWD Dynojet, the altitude was just above sea level, and the ambient temperature was in the mid 80s with low relative humidity.

Am I correct in interpreting your dyno plots that you've raised the rev limiter (it looks like from about 7400 to 7800 RPM), or did you just stop the dyno run at 7400 RPM with the stock ECU?
Have you done any testing with higher octane? Will a car running on 94 octane see comparable performance gains?

So, spill the beans to the next questions that everyone is going to want to know before purchase... Boost level? A/F ratio? Will there be a 93-octane program? etc, etc.
Anyone with computer skills want to crank out some virtual overlays of the competition?

Unfortunately, we'd need real comparisons on the same dyno for the results to even be remotely valid... dyno scores are only useful when compared to results from the same dyno under similar conditions. So I believe that the car has gone up by 30 whp, but there's no way to know if it's competitive with an STi unless Works gets one in their shop to dyno.

dosnt somone else have a flash for the evo8 ecu,,,,, is it rmr? And if so how does it compare to the works ecu?
I cant believe this topic isnt getting hundreds of hits and intrest?
Lets see the boost, a/f, and lets see who is the first one to be the guinney pig and how well it works for them.
Thanks
