WORKS fitment with JDM rear bumper?
Just curious how well the WORKS ABM and StealthWORKS mufflers look and fit with a JDM bumper? Any pics?
The way the exhaust fits will be a deciding factor for me. Otherwise, I'm going to go with a Fujitsubo exhaust which fits the JDM rear perfectly.
Also, noise level is key for me. That's why Fujitsubo is appealing. That's also why the StealthWORKS is appealing. How much louder is the WORKS ABM than the StealthWORKS?

Adam,
I'm currently running the WORKS ABM, and after I installed my JDM rear, it was necessary to "shorten" it for the right look. The local muffler shop just cut off the tip, trimmed it by 2 inches, welded it back on, and now it looks great!
When I get home tonight, I'll have access to some pics if you need to see it!

We do modify the length for JDM bumper applications since they are shorter than USDM specifications. The Exhale ABM is a few dBs louder than a StealthWORKS muffler, most of it coming out as deeper tones from the canister itself.

Thanks, Jamie. Is there a charge to shorten the exhaust for the JDM bumper?
Do you know how the Exhale ABM compares in sound to the Fujitsubo Legalis R, or the Tanage Medalion Touring?
I drive clients around in my car (yes, I drive clients in an Evo ) and I can't have a loud exhaust otherwise it will just be obnoxious. I've heard the Fujitsubo and Tanabe in-person, and both are only marginally louder than stock. It's very hard to tell the difference unless you're WOT. So, if the Exhale or StealthWORKS sound like either of these two, I'm going with WORKS

Its very quiet. Especially compared to other exhausts ive heard. When I give other evo owners a ride they always make a comment about how quiet my car is compared to theirs. Also it doesnt drone on the freeway, you can barely hear it. Tanabe's sound like bees are flying around in a can to me too, I would never buy that junk.
I had the local muffler shop shorten mine as well, and it came out perfect. Check out pics in my sig.

Yes, there is some labor involved in shortening the exhaust. It usually takes about an hour to cut, shorten and weld the tip back on. In the end, it's hard to tell it was touched at all (aside from the lenghth).
